What an uncredible day again I had today! It is difficult to explain my feelings about this, but what can i say I that I never felt something like that. I began by a meeting on this morning with the six teachers, at first, they looked like very closed but Mr.George said me the reason which haven't had any links with me. So during 2 hours, I teached to 2 groups PE (physical education), It was very intimidating beacuse, firstly, I wasn't prepared to that and secondly, there were so many pupils! IN the school, there are 80 pupils, with lots of age disparities (from 2 to 11 years old). So i tried to teach them the "prison ball" but so complicated because of those disparities. And, moreover, seeing my ball (i brought it from France), they don't made time to tell me "Salome, we want to play football!!!"😅
At lunch break, teachers gathered the pupils so I can distributed some donations from friends, pharmacies, dentist, ... I saw their surpise when I gave them some lotions (for the girls) and tooth paste (for the boys). They applauded me, I was happy to bring a little help but the fact that they don't have to access to hygiene make me think about my own chance to have all I have...🙄 just a ball, a tooth paste, some ballons is enough to ear some cries, and excitation!
Today, there was a meeting organised by Mr.George for the teachers. In fact, the really big problem here and makes teachers in a very hard situation is that thos latters, can't be payed for 3 months! Can you imagine that? They must bring food from their own home to feed pupils, they can't provide for pupils needs, neither for them... It is horrible. However, they continue to come at school for teach children, children who, in addition, lost their parents...
Mr.George makes in me lots of hope to help him and teachers, befor the corona virus crisis, many donations were collected from businesses but, now, many are stoppped. I will try to find a way to COLLECT MONEY for this project and I hope it will touch people...
