The beginning of 2019 was kind of busy for your Frenchgirls...
The last weeks of school were busy for Marine because of all the projects and oral presentations... But despite all the work, she found time to discover new places in Brittany with Florent ! They went to Cancale and the Pointe du grouin. It was soooo beautiful !! The color of the sea was amazing !
After New Year, Manon spent a couple of days at home in the Vosges mountains, with Thibault. The opportunity to do some really nice walks in the snow !
After this Christmas break, it was time for Manon to leave and go to her next internship in Austria ! After 11h drive in 2 days and 1000kms she arrived at least in the village where she is living with her fellow students. (after some adventures - like being stucked in the last trail that was full of snow - she was really relieved to arrive and to settle down !)
During the penultimate week of her student life, Marine had a school trip with her classe to study livestock buildings and equipments. It was an opportunity to spend a last moment together before going in internships !
And now school is over !! To celebrate the end of classes, Marine spent a week end by the sea with her friends. The weather was warm and sunny ! Just perfect !
For Manon however, the first month of internship in the Wolf Science Center was not really as she has expected. As the PhD student that was supposed to supervise her left for Africa without warning, she had no project to work on and was assigned to do basic tasks (kitchen cleaning, meat cutting...). So she was not very satisfied but at least she was able to take pictures from the wolves in the enclosures and to do some nice trips in the region and in Vienna during her free days ! For example, she went to the National History Museum and the Volktheater to see a very nice theater play (in German but she managed to understand with the help of her fellow student). And of course she tried Viennese pastries and famous coffee !
Before going in internship (Marine is going in an animal nutrition company and will study the impact of feed on the health and well-being of poultry), Marine had a week vacation and went to La Rochelle to see her sister, niece and nephew. Florent was there as well :) They spent 5 days together and even went to the Ré island, which is amazing !
Last stop before going back to Rennes: Marine went to the city of Nantes to see her grandmother, her uncle and tata and her godfather. She was so happy to see them again :)
As for Manon, she plan to leave Austria soon, as there's still no project for her in the WSC and the tasks are not very interesting or rewarding. Let's see what life decides !
