After some issues at the airport, we are finally back to France and to our old habits!

We decided to write this blog to keep in touch with you and to share our French way of life ! We will update this blog once in a while and we hope you will enjoy it (don't hesitate to comment !)
First, we have to tell you about our adventures at the airport!
The day before our flight, we couldn't check in on the Internet, but thanks to you (and the Indian meal with Fred, Tom and Ruth) we were not really stressed. John dropped us early at the airport (fortunately) so we had time to figure out why we couldn't get our tickets: our seats were duplicated!
After this first issue, it's time to weight our luggage ! Whereas Manon had two heavy supplementary bags (the famous skis !!) for 25$, Marine should have paid 100$ for only 4 extra pounds ! Following the advice of a WestJet employee, she opened her suitcase to swap her shoes and wear some extra clothes... and it worked!
But the worst part is coming !
We already had a 45 minutes break between our two flights (Calgary-Vancouver, Vancouver-Paris) but the first plane arrived 30 minutes late... so we had to run like mad across Vancouver airport, zigzaging between people and getting really hot because of the many layers of clothes... After 15 minutes sprint, we jumped into the plane and the doors shut behind us ! phew !
After a 9 hours flight (and a few turbulences) we finally landed in Paris ! A very cliché rainy weather was already waiting for us... but we were really glad to see our friends and families again ! It was time for both of us to offer our Canadian gifts, to share our beautiful pictures, to talk about you all (and to get over the 8 hours of jetlag). Our boyfriends really liked their Canadian hats and our grandparents enjoyed the maple syrup (the true one but also the liquor).
And now, after a short one week break, it's time to go back to school... We moved into our respective flats and of course, decorated them with Canadian souvenirs (calendars, postcards and Marine's grizzly trivet). Marine also had two beautiful surprises : her big sister's family and her godfather-aunts-grandmother came from different parts of France to see her and her skin tanned with the Canadian sun (LOL). She also met her little nephew Maël (the one she was always talking about to you since December, when he was born!).
Back to school, it's time for us to continue with our respective specializations : Marine with "Animal production" and Manon with "Environmental Engineering". Our semester will mainly consist in projects and specialized classes. We really enjoy it.
As for the Breton city of Rennes where we are studying, it is really beautiful : half-timbered houses and also nature ! We took some pictures to show you our beautiful France, which architecture is really different from Canmore..
